Rally Mission

Federal funding for medical research continues to decline, threatening the future health of Americans. The Rally for Medical Research served as both a call to action for Congress to make medical research a national priority, and a means by which to raise awareness with the general public about the importance of continued investment in medical research through the National Institutes of Health.

With more than 10,000 people in attendance, this unified call to action unleashed an unparalleled level of excitement for medical research nationwide, research that ultimately leads to more progress, more hope, and more lives saved. The Rally #RallyMedRes was a top trending topic on Twitter globally, and ranked second with more than 6,500 tweets in events for the day.
